Hande Sonmez

Textile, lighting and ceramics were added to his journey of reinterpreting the existing one, which he started in 2004 with space designs. While she was having trouble finding objects that reflect the spirit of the spaces she designed, she met mud in the workshop of ceramic artist Sara Aji and participated in clay shaping and glazing techniques in Aji's workshop for 2 years.

Hande Sönmez, who established her own workshop in 2015, continues her designs of spaces, products and ceramics under the registered trademark of Hande Sönmez Istanbul.

Hande Sönmez, inspired by the city she lives in and people in my designs, transfers the dynamic structure of these two factors to mud, while shaping contemporary and minimal designs with the traditional method of turning, the most distinctive feature of her works is their functionality.

The most exciting part of his story is that every time the bakery is opened, the irreversible designs that will live on for centuries begin their journey in history.
